IndieSoup Media was created to showcase the talents of both independent and industry content creators. We have a special affinity for content creators producing independently and exist to be the heart of the indie content creators. Additionally, IndieSoup Media will consist IndieSoup Learn, our video learning platform, which gives creators a space to teach their craft.

FOUNDER

Dr. Tachi is a media professional and scholar with a passion for creating and educating in the ever-evolving world of media. She kickstarted her academic journey with a BA in Communication from the University of Buffalo, and furthered her commitment to the field at Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she earned both a Master’s and Ph.D. in Mass Communication.

Her extensive contributions to the industry encompass a range of roles. Dr. Tachi is renowned not only as an award-winning filmmaker but also as a prolific content creator and a dedicated journalist. As a media professor she has shaped and inspired countless minds.

Since 2011, she has been a prominent figure in the dynamic landscape of live streaming and content creation. Dr. Tachi’s creative prowess extends to producing media content for prominent universities, national organizations, and the real estate sector.

In addition to her professional achievements, Dr. Tachi is a captivating presence in the digital world. She is the creator and host of MediaScope, Media Meets Brunch, and Be. More. ER., engaging with audiences across various social platforms. Her reach also extends to the listeners of Gospel 107.1 FM in Nassau, Bahamas and the Caribbean.

Dr. Tachi’s unwavering dedication to the field of media, her commitment to education, and her creative endeavors is an effort to leave an indelible mark on the industry and to continue to inspire and captivate.
